Bullying Roles and Emotional Intelligence in High School Students in the District of Independencia, Lima
Abstract
The objective of this research was to determine the relationship between the roles of bullying and emotional intelligence in first and second grade secondary school students at the José Gabriel Condorcanqui Educational Institution in the district of Independencia, Lima. This study was descriptive-correlational in nature, with a non-experimental cross-sectional-correlational design. The sample consisted of 108 first and second grade secondary school students at the educational institution. A survey technique was applied, the instruments of which were validated through expert judgment. According to the results, it was found, according to the test of independence (chi-square: ***p=0.000 <.001), that the relationship is significant, so the relationship between emotional intelligence and victims of bullying in first and second grade secondary school students at the aforementioned institution is accepted. It concludes that the general hypothesis, subjected to statistical testing, shows a significant relationship between the roles of bullying and emotional intelligence, with a low negative correlation.
