Application of a Competency-based Model on Traffic Rules and Road Safety to Improve the Quality of Academic Training in a Higher Technological Institution
Abstract
The objective was to determine the level of relationship between the application of a competency-based model on traffic rules and road safety and the level of academic training in students of Automotive Mechanics of the Public Technological Institute María Rosario Araoz Pinto. Quantitative study, hypothetical-deductive methodology and a non-experimental design, descriptive and correlational cross-sectional. The results obtained from the correlation between the variables indicate a bilateral significance index of 0.000 which is lower than the level of 0.05 expected for this analysis, it is determined that there is a significant relationship between competencies on traffic rules and road safety, to improve the quality of academic training in 2011. It is concluded a statistically significant linear relationship very high of 97% and directly proportional between competencies on traffic rules and road safety, and academic training (rs = 0.970, p < 0.05).
