Abstract

The lack of control in the monitoring of in-hospital mobility processes between the different areas of a hospital has led to dismissing the quality of care of a large number of hospitals in the city of Barranquilla, in many cases generating legal processes by the patients or their relatives. This research is based on the proposal of layered framework design, to establish information structures capable of providing the actors of healthcare institutions with standardization, control, and monitoring of transfers.

The conceptual model of this proposal is marked in the line of smart hospitals, which will allow IPS to better manage their processes and thus improve the efficiency of hospital management, avoiding waste of time inpatient transfers and keep traceability of these, using standardized information systems. The research presented great results associated with the optimization of transfer times, when using the information system based on the conceptual proposal.
