Epistemic Hierarchies and Law: a critical review of scientific praxis by means of our legal institutions.
Abstract
This paper aims to prove that Law, as a normative device instituted around the necessary consideration of the alterity reasons, turns out to be epistemically more reliable and conducive to the preservation of values such as impartiality than other disciplines or fields of knowledge production. Such a condition would be predicable even when such fields or disciplines of knowledge shall be structured, at least ideally, on methodological assumptions such as due consideration of the theses and representations of reality of those groups that do not agree with the hegemonic logos.
